Srinagar: Today, an encounter triggered between the security forces and terrorists in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir killing two terrorists and an Army Jawan. As well as, the area has been cordoned off to search for further terrorists in the region.

Previously, an encounter in Machhal region along LoC killed at least three Indian soldiers. 

Around 287 incidents of cross-border firing have been reported along the LoC and the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir since the day when surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army on terrorist launch pads in PoK.
