We on daily basis come to know about many surprising or weird facts but you must have known about a village which is situated on a sea. It is a village in China that is situated on the sea. About 7,000 fishermen live here and their local address is tanka.

This village of fishermen is situated near Ningxia city of Fujian province of southeastern China. Tanka is also known as 'Gypsy on the Sea'.

In China 700 AD, the Tang Dynasty was ruled. The ruler of the dynasty persecuted the people of this tribe so much that they decided to stay on the sea.

The series is still continuing. Since then, they have been called 'Gypsies on the Sea'. Tanka never adopted modern lifestyle. It's been more than 1,300 years, Tanka is still living in traditional houses with her families.
