Renault is about to launch a new car soon after being hit by the likes of Kwid and Duster in the Indian car market. There has been a long discussion in the Indian market in the times of Renault Captur. This car will be seen in Europe as the Renault-made Capture Car.

Though the capture in the European market has been developed on the hatchback platform, while the Indian concept has been developed on the crossover platform.

Renault has launched
Capture in Russia and parts of America. India will be the first country where Renault Captur will be launched with a Right-Hand layout.

Renault Capture in Russia has been given 1.6 liters and two petrol engines of 2.0 liters. While it is expected that Reno will launch this car in India with a 1.5-liter petrol engine.

Although the company will not opt for the automatic gearbox at the time of launch, its automatic variants will be launched after some time of launch. The price of this car will be around 12 lakh rupees.

According to Sourabh Mishra, group chief strategy officer, Bates CHI & Partners, the mass market hatchback buyer looks for a status upgrade in life with his car purchase and this is the opportunity that the prestige equity of Renault will bring for Capture. He feels that If done well it could potentially disrupt the dominance of the older cars in the market.
