Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards honoured Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for their contribution in Film Industry. Ranbir while accepting his award praised Alia Bhatt. He referred to her as the Amitabh Bachchan of Bollywood today.
Also, a reporter asked Alia of not winning National Award, she said, "Please don't feel bad. I am not going anywhere. There is a lot of time. I did not feel bad so even you don't feel bad about it."
On winning the Lokmat Award, she said, "It's a great moment. Winning this award shows that you are now in the heart line of your country. So it's great."
Alia and Ranbir will be seen in film Dragon together. The film will be helmed by Ayan Mukerji.
