Tele actress Ankita Lokhande is about to debut in bollywood with Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi. In the film, she will play the character of Jhalkari Bai, the one who used to disguise and shield Rani Laxmi Bai. Ankita has apparently started shooting for the same from Monday.
Ankita has been taking training in sword-fighting for sometimes now and is making sure to get into the skin of her character. To this, she said, "Since then, he has taken me by the hand and shown me how to fight. He treats me like a kid and makes the training so entertaining."
About her role, Ankita said, "I'd never heard of her before, not many have, but Jhalkaribai was one of the greatest heroes of our proud history. I'm honoured that I'll be telling her story to the world, fighting alongside Kangana's Rani Laxmibai."
