In the Nilesh Mohan Raayani massacre of Gujarat, the High Court has sentenced the accused to life imprisonment. In this massacre, three people, including BJP MLA, have been found guilty. Earlier this case was heard in the fast track court of Rajkot, where no charges were found against the accused MLA.

Nilesh Mohan Raayani, resident of Wachhra village of Gondal was shot dead in 2004. At the time of the incident, Nilesh was going away with his friend Jayesh and Ramji from the jeep. As soon as his carriage passed through the jingling crossroads, many people, including MLA Jayraj Singh, Amarjeet Singh, asked Nilesh's jeep to stop.

As soon as Nilesh, who stopped the car, started firing on him immediately. Nilesh died on the spot. Due to the involvement of influential people in this case, the hearing was done in the fast track court of Rajkot. The court had acquitted 15 people, including the accused MLA, at that time.

Angered by this decision, Nilesh's fiancée had pleaded for justice in the High Court. After 13 years on hearing the High Court, the jail sentence was given to MLA Jayaraj Singh, Amarjeet Singh and Mahendra Singh for life imprisonment.
