Childhood cancer survivors at risk of chronic illness!

A new study conducted by the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tuffs University in Massachusetts suggests that childhood cancer survivors that have a diet lacking in essential nutrients in adult life might have an increased risk of chronic diseases as they are more prone to developing serious illnesses.

The study found "excessive levels of sodium and saturated fat, both of which are risk factors for chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity," says Dr. Fang Fang Zhang.
