The government has now made Aadhaar number compulsory in all essential services. But there are many people in the country who have some mistakes in the base card details. 

This is giving them a lot of trouble. If someone's name is wrong or someone's date of birth is wrong. You can easily correct the mistakes made in the base, for that you have to follow some steps. With this, you can correct mistakes. 

To update the base online, keep your mobile number close to which your base link is. OTP will be received in mobile number during the update. You can update your name, address, gender, date of birth, mobile number and email address online. For other changes, you have to go to Aadhar Enrollment Center.

First, go to Self Service Update Portal. Write your base number here. 

After this, you will get a one time password on the registered mobile number. Then, enter OTP and log on to the updated portal. 

Then click on the button above 'Data Update Requests'. After this, select the option that you want to update/improve. You can update all the options if you wish. 

After choosing the option, the base update form will open Here you can change the information according to your need. Here the name and address information will also be updated in English.

After this, double check your new information. After the check is done, click Submit Submit Request. You will also have to submit the documents related to the information you want to make. 

There is no need for any paperwork to make changes in email id, mobile number, and gender. But for a change in name, date of birth and address, you have to give a document related to it. 

These documents are valid - passport, PAN card, ration / PDS photo card, voter ID and driving license etc.
