Gorakhpur: The death toll in the Gorakhpur tragedy rose to 63 today after oxygen supply in hospital disrupted. However, Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh and Minister for Technical and Medical Education Ashutosh Tandon will meet CM Yogi Adityanath over the incident.
Meanwhile yesterday the Congress said, “This is the time the state government should stand up for its citizen and prove them that we all are one.”
The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav expressed grief on the incident.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi also expressed their grief as Sonia said, “My heart goes out to the families of the innocent children who fell prey to gross negligence and incorrigible misconduct on the part of the authorities.”
Rahul took to his Twitter page and said “Deeply pained. My thoughts are with the families of the victims. BJP govt is responsible and should punish the negligent, who caused this tragedy (sic).”
