It is interesting to know that if you do 20 minutes of daily cycling, then it can almost half your risk of dying from a heart-related disease.

Purdue University conducted a study and concluded that regular cycling can reduce your risk of heart disease by an enormous 50 %.

In the same manner, Copenhagen Heart Study, “this monitored over 5000 people over a period of 14 years, found a major association between high-intensity cycling and reduced risk of coronary heart disease death”.

Overall, a 30 percent person dies annually due to the cardiovascular diseases, and as per the Global Burden of Disease study, “CVD death rate in India is 272 per one lakh population which is higher than the global average of 235.”

Mainly the risk factors of heart diseases includes, smoking, physical inactivity. So, it has been suggested by the WHO that the people aged between 18 to 64 years should engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity throughout the week. And this target can be achieved by doing only 20 minutes of cycling daily.
