Deepika Padukone has given all her time and dedication to the only film for which she is busy with. It's a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie Padmavati.

As we know, DP is portraying the role of Rani Padmavati in this film. The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor . However, if the reports are to be believed then, many top male stars were approached for the meaty roles opposite Deepika, but they refused due to the female-oriented title name of the film.

Film journalist Rajeev Masand stated, "Bhansali stuck with his leading lady even after top male stars offered to star in it if the director was willing to change the title to sound less like it revolved around the heroine. Deepika is returning the favour by standing firmly by Bhansali’s side, focusing solely on Padmavati, even as her co-actors Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor are dividing their time between Bhansali’s set and ad-films, appearances, and the like."
