Eden Garden is not in form, lets see how it turns up for the Indian team

The match at Kanpur had a pitch which was in use and in form even before the international test match took place, but the matter has seemed to change in the Kolkata change. Along with Gautam Ghambhir who hasn’t played international Test Cricket for 2 years the pitch of the Eden Garden Stadium has also not played any cricket for a long time.

Since monsoon the pitch has been moist and not at all favourable for the Indian spinners. The bald pitch of the Kanpur stadium gave enough and desired spin to the bowlers but the Kolkata pitch has betrayed the trust of the nation. As the only strength India holds at this point of time is the spinner like R. Ashwin.

This may be a golden opportunity for the Kiwi fast bowlers to get back at India after the first test they lost. The president of the Cricket Association of Bengal(CAB), Saurav Ganguly said” I’ll take a look at it tomorrow (Wednesday) to be able to judge what exactly we have. But what we are trying to put in place is a good, hard wicket where the ball will have carry and come onto the bat. There could be a bit of grass on it. Spin will come into the picture later in the match, not straightaway. Maybe we can expect turn in the second half of the Test”. As he told to the Indian Express press on Tuesday.
