Eknath Khadse in trouble,police says minister put pressure to book whistle-blower in land case

June 3, 2016:Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse,in more problem for the beset a sting operation conducted by a news channel has allegedly exposed a local police officer claiming that Khadse put stress on the police to record a case next to Hemant Gavande, the whistle-blower in the MIDC land case.

Gavande, a draftsman, had last month suspected that Khadse's wife and son-in-law purchased a three-acre piece of land at Bhosri at a very low value, and the land really belonged to Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

In the sting video it is shows that , “Inspector Hiraman Shirsath of Shivajinagar police station telling the reporter that Khadse had asked the police to register a case against Gavande last year for allegedly forging documents to grab a land belonging to the Agriculture College”.

A case was recorded beside Gavande in January 2015 in this stuff.

Shirsath say, “He wrote down in the station diary what transpired at the meeting with Khadse”
