From the month of September, for home delivery of SIM cards, a pilot program is launched by the Reliance Jio. Currently, Reliance Jio is targeting the metro cities of the India. This step is basically to support the consumers to avoid the trouble of facing the retail store. From now onwards, consumers will get the Jio SIM card in their hands without visiting the retail store of the Jio. Wondering how to get Reliance Jio SIM home-delivered? We explain.
With this pilot programme customers will order and schedule the delivery of their Jio SIM card at their door. The Reliance Jio SIM card home delivery pilot program is being rolled out in a phased manner. Currently, in beta, the program is being rolled out area wise in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Visakhapatnam.
Under this pilot program, invite of scheduling the delivery at home is received by the individuals. But users will not be able to request the invite. Only those people, who are selected by the team is enabling for the invite. Even the Reliance employee will not recommend the people for the invite. This delivery is possible within “30 minutes” if the consumer wants the delivery soon.
Separately, Reliance Jio is running a program for housing societies and enterprises that make it easier for consumers to procure Jio SIM cards. Consumers hoping to avail the services from these kiosks will need a local Aadhaar card for 'instant eKYC-based activation'. To use services, they will need a 4G-enabled smartphone.
