Friday, May 20, 2016: Rates of copper and nickel improved at the non-ferrous market on stockists buying during fresh demand from consuming industries.

However, lead eased owing to mild off-take from overwhelming industries.

Nickel recovering by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 700 from Thursday's final level of Rs 695.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheet cuttings moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 376, Rs 404 and Rs 360 as compared to Rs 374, Rs 402 and Rs 358 previously.

Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 370 and Rs 342 correspondingly.

Meanwhile, lead reduced by a Re per kg to Rs 132.
