In the Inter-Zone Challenge Week of the fifth Pro Kabaddi Season match on Friday the Gujarat Fortunegiants defeated Patna Pirates by 30-29.Parvesh Bhainswal and Abozar got high fives for Gujarat. Pardeep Narwal scored five points and had his lowest scoring match of the season. For Gujarat Chandran, Ranjit scored seven raid points.
With this win, Gujarat is now at the top position on the table in Zone A with 62 points from 17 matches and Patna is also at the top spot in Zone B with 66 points from nine matches.
After the five minutes, it was 3-3. Two points were scored by Monu Goyat in two raids as Patna led 5-3. After the seven minutes, the Gujarat came back to lead by 7-4. In the 13th minute, Gujarat took the score to 8-9 as Rohit Gulia scored two points.
The fifth season of Pro Kabaddi League which started from July 28 will end on October 28. For this season, Four new teams have been included and thus 12 teams are participating in the league.
The Four new teams are Gujarat Fortune grants, Haryana Steelers, UP Yodha, Tamil Thalaivas.Dabang Delhi, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Puneri Paltan, U Mumba, Haryana Steelers and Gujarat Fortune grants are drafted in Zone A while Zone B will have Telugu Titans, Bengaluru Bulls, Patna Pirates, Bengal Warriors, UP Yodha and Tamil Thalaivas.
