New Delhi, Wednesday morning lashed with heavy rains in Delhi, due to which city went dark and slowing down traffic in rush hour.

Officials issued warning to people as heavy rain also pounded Gurugram and Hyderabad.

The police in Gurugram, the business hub adjacent to Delhi, issued advisories early as the rain came pouring down, asking people to be patient and navigate roads with discipline.

The Gurugram police took to the twitter and said, "Heavy rains in Gurgaon, please be advised. Be patient and maintain lane discipline, we are on the job to facilitate your movement”.

In Hyderabad, the civic body chief asked people not to go out for at least an hour.
