Abigail Breslin, star of 'Little Miss Sunshine' and 'Dirty Dancing' recently for the second time took to her social media account Instagram to speak up why she didn’t report the assault.

Abigail writes: “First off, I was in complete shock and total denial. I didn’t want to view myself as a “victim” so I suppressed it and pretended it never happened. Second, of all, I was in a relationship with my rapist and I feared not being believed. I also feared that if my case didn’t lead anywhere, he would still find out and hurt me even more."

She chose to be silent also for her loved ones that this report would be hurtful for them to know. She also posted a picture on Instagram with caption: "You are not obligated to have sex with someone that you’re in a relationship with. Dating is not consent. Marriage is not consent."

She captioned it-"I knew my assailant. #SexualAsaultAwarenessMonth #breakthesilence Abigail is not the only one who decides to hide what hurts her. There are other many girls who in fear of being judged, misunderstood, hide their assault. "
