Index of Industrial Production (IIP) has shown the growth of the Industry during the first five months of the current fiscal year has been the lowest in at least 10 years. The growth went to the negative side of the line to -0.27% during the time period of April- August which was the lowest since 2007-2008.

This report also told that this fiscal year for the industry was worse than the year of 2009.Growth has been least in the five years. This demolition in the market is because of the consumer’s non durable behavior.

Far from a recovery, the IIP data indicates a deepening gloom in the industrial sector.
