D. Jayakumar, the Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu today presented a tax-free budget in the state assembly. It is also the first budget of the Chief Minister E. Palaniswami headed AIADMK Government.
For the drinking water supply almost Rs 610 crore will be given while the migrant labourers on rent will be given the house. Smart canes will be provided to visually impaired people.
Revenue deficit is projected at 15,930 crores while the fiscal deficit projected at 41,977 crore which is 2.79 percent of GSDP.
