L’Oreal’s Heiress Liliane Bettencourt Passed Away

The world’s richest woman Liliane Bettencourt passed away at the age of 94, this sad news was announced by her daughter Francoise Bettencourt Meyers. She was the Heiress of the one of the most leading cosmetics giant L’Oreal. 

Her daughter Bettencourt Meyers told the New York Times in an email that "In this painful moment for us, I would like to reiterate, on behalf of our family, our entire commitment and loyalty to L'Oreal and to renew my confidence in its President Jean-Paul Agon and his teams worldwide."

Liliane Bettencourt who was the main shareholder of the world’s top cosmetics company L’Oreal with a personal fortune estimated by Forbes magazine in March at USD 39.5 billion.While talking about the death of Liliane, L’Oreal’s chairman and executive Jean-Paul Agon expressed her deep grief over her death and said she was the "great admiration" for the woman who steered the company as its owner for the best part of a decade.

She further added that Liliane Bettencourt had an immense career throughout her life as she always looked after the company and its employees and also she personally contributed herself greatly for many years to reach the success.Liliane Bettencourt was married to French Politician Andre Bettencourt from 1950 till his death in 2007, Lilian was a prominent part of French society and a revered businesswoman around the world.
