In Muzaffarnagar, a fast track court has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for raping a woman at a village here in 2009.
He has been imposed fine of Rs 3,000 by the Judge holding him guilty under IPC sections 376 (rape), 452 (house trespass with intent to assault), and related offences.
According to government lawyer Ritu Choudhary, Ravikant had entered the complainant's house in Sojani Tagan village on October 19, 2009, and raped her at gunpoint.
