Today is the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Myanmar. PM Modi arrives in Myanmar from China. Today he will meet Myanmar's leader Aung San Suu Kyi. During this meeting, the issue of Rohingya refugees is also expected to be discussed.

Why Modi's visit to Myanmar is important?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Myanmar tour is considered to be very important for two reasons. The first reason is that between China's growing strict way, India needs to keep its neighbor Myanmar firmly in its camp.

India and Myanmar's 1,640-kilometer long border passes through Manipur-Nagaland, battling an insurgency. Cooperation in both countries is extremely important to overcome insurgency in this border area.

Discussion on Rohingya Muslims issue too:

The current visit of PM Modi is being considered as very important because, during this visit, the issue of Rohingya Muslims between the two countries is expected to be discussed.

India is concerned about the condition of Rohingya Muslims coming from Myanmar. Such nearly 40 thousand Rohingya refugees are now living illegally in India. The Indian government is preparing to send them back.
