Anushka Sharma with her second production film Phillauri is all set to stun the audience. Anushka is playing the role of a friendly spirit named Shashi in the film. The spirit lives on a tree and get married to a boy as he is a Manglik. 

Anushka while promotion of film when asked is the film inspired by a Hollywood film titled Corpse Bride? 

She replied, "There is no similarity between Phillauri and Corpse Bride because Tim Burton's film falls in dark humour space. Secondly, the whole concept of a Manglik getting married to a tree is a very Indian concept so it can not be a copy of anything. But, I understand when something different comes out, people are like 'aree different hai toh kisi ka copy toh hoga'." 

Corpse Bride was released in year 2005. It is an animated film of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and was released in the year 2005.
