Adulating PV Sindhu for her extraordinary appearing in 2016, chief national coach Pullela Gopichand on Tuesday said the Rio Olympics silver medallist still has the potential to move forward.

"I have constantly kept up that notwithstanding when she won in 2013 or 2014 (consecutive big showdown singles bronze decorations) Sindhu is still sometimes far from being her best. I keep up that even now that she can possibly improve," said the previous All-England men's singles champion amid a connection with the media in Mumbai.

"She has done a great deal of diligent work to reach here and many people will continue hoping to get great exhibitions against her and beat her. It will challenge, yet I am glad the way she has adapted to the weight and got us the exhibitions which were vital," Gopichand included.

The way she fit the bill for the Super Series finals was additionally exceptionally respectable as she needed to win and play the finals. In the last three competitions, she partook in there were one win, one runner-up and one semi-last. I'm glad the way she has played by and large."
