Islamabad: The anti-corruption court of Pakistan canceled an old case of corruption against former President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday. He was facing the case of Property over Income.
The request for acquittal from Zardari's lawyer Farooq H. Naik was accepted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Khalid Mohammed Ranjha. This was the case of 1999.
After the court verdict, Zardari's daughter Bakhtwar expressed happiness at the social media, "When Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif are hiding from NAB, the last pending case of my father has been canceled."
