It’s allegedly said that the farmers are being instigated by the politicians like Shiv Sena and Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana for these violent riots since 1st June.

Fandavis has once declared a loan waiver of Rs. 30,000 for small and marginal farmers and is also determined to make the loan waiver process transparent so that not only handful of farmers are benefitted from it but all get the advantage of the facility.

As a policy, assistance would not be given to loan waivers of any state by the Center. "In Uttar Pradesh and even Andhra Pradesh, costs of waivers are being borne by the state governments. There is no assistance from the central government," said the Union Minister, Naidu.

Senior finance department officials said they will ask bankswith which the defaulting farmers have accounts to reactivate them and submit data to the government.

Vijay Jawandhia, farmer leader from Vidarbha believed that until all the farmers are united, nobody will take them seriously and suggested to prepare for a massive strike in October and do a 'jail bharo' andolan.

However, Fadnavis alleged that not a single farmer participated in Monday's bandh and it was done by the political leaders. "There are people in the state who are trying to incite farmers for their benefit. None of the people who participated in blocking the highways or threw vegetables or milk on the road were farmers, they were all politicians," he added.

A state official said that police may probe into the leaders of the two parties in coming days.
