Kokrajhar: Protestors in Assam's Kokrajhar district on thursday burnt the Pakistani flag and an figure of its prime minister Nawaz Sharif to protest against the Uri attack by Pakistan-sponsored militants.

The image of Nawaz Sharif and the Pakistani flag was burnt by the thousands of supporters and members of various organisations, including All Bodo Students Union, Bodo Peoples Front and All Adivasi Students Association of Assam.

A protest rally was held by the demonstrators at Serfanguri on National Highway 31. Protesters carrying posters, banners and shouting slogans demanded strong action against the perpetrators of the violence. Later, the protesters isolated peacefully.
