Rajdhani and Shatabdi's passengers now will soon be able to watch their favorite TV serials and movies on the train during their journey. This entertainment package will be available to passengers on their phones, laptops and other devices.

As senior railway official said, "The passengers will have to buy this service as railways are looking to generate revenue from this plan. The project will cost about Rs 25 lakh to equip a train with the content-on-demand policy"

"Popular TV serials, films, and musicals will be on offer in trains to make the journey enjoyable while at the same time the Railways will also earn," the official further added.

Meanwhile, the official further added, "content-on-demand will also offer radio service as an audio package in trains and stations. The audio service, however, will be available for free"
