Mumbai: Reliance Infrastructure will also be the co-partner in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's most ambitious project bullet train project. Reliance Infrastructure, the flagship company of Infrastructure Sector, said on Tuesday that it will participate in an ambitious project of Indian Railways worth over Rs one lakh crore.
Addressing the 88th Annual General Meeting of the shareholders of the company, Anil D. Ambani, chairman of Reliance Infrastructure said, "We have been associated with many Japanese companies through joint ventures and we have a partnership in this highly ambitious project of Rs. will do.
According to Ambani, the company is focusing on EPC (Engineering, Purchase, Construction) Segment. Ambani said, "We have been selected as the bidders for the Bandra-Versova Sea Link in Mumbai, and we have received the letter for the Metro contracts too."
He said, "Besides, we have also qualified for the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway project. We will go through the process and compete."
Ambani further said that the government could soon give a contract to manufacture six submarines worth Rs 50,000 crore. He said, "With the acquisition of Pipavav, we are one of the only two companies in India strategically positioned to participate in government of India`s strategic partnership programme to build submarines. For the first time in India, private sector company will be actually building a submarine."
