Karan Mehra and wife Nisha Rawal welcomed their first baby and it's a baby boy. Karan's on screen Rohan Mehra congratulate him on the arrival of baby.

Rohan told to a tabloid, "I'm very happy. I want to congratulate him.  He used to play my onscreen father in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and now he has become a real-life dad. I'm glad and happy. I hope God blesses the baby and the family. He's going to be a great father."

When he was asked abaout one quality that will make Karan a great father, he said, "He is very calm and composed. The one quality I admire about him is that he listens to everyone and guides them well. He guided me as well when I joined Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and was very helpful and he took care of me."
