In an opening trade of Tuesday, the Sensex hit another record high of 32,374.30 while NSE Nifty today breached the 10,000 level.
According to the Brokers, "sentiment was upbeat on sustained capital inflows and widespread buying by retail investors, driven by strong earnings by some more bluechip companies.'
Among other Asian markets, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up 0.09 per cent while Japan's Nikkei shed 0.13 per cent.
Shanghai Composite Index down 0.32 per cent.
