Shrimp Scampi is a classic Italian dish that derives its name from the Italian word of seafood. This dish only takes just a few minutes, and the cooking time is even lesser. The dish Shrimp Scampi is traditionally enjoyed with pasta and wine, but if you feel like not prepping up much, you can have it all by itself too!

Ingredients of Shrimp Scampi

250 gm shrimps

1/4 cup white wine

1 tablespoon virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes

salt as required

1 tablespoon butter

1/4 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

2 tablespoon lemon juice

black pepper as required

Step 1

To prepare this Italian recipe, de-vein the shrimps and let the shells remain on them. After deveining the shrimps, wash them in running water and pat them dry.

Step 2

Next, put a pan on medium flame and melt butter in it and quickly add virgin olive oil. Stir and add the minced garlic in the pan, saute for a few seconds and add the chilli flakes on them.

Step 3

Once the garlic is brown and the raw smell goes, add the deveined shrimps with shells. Immediately, add white wine to the pan and stir until they are evenly layered in the pan. Cook the shrimps in white wine for about 2 minutes. Once done, stir the shrimp and turn them over so that the other side is also cooked.

Step 4

Remove the pan from the burner, once the shrimps are cooked well. Now, add the lemon juice over the cooked shrimps and sprinkle black pepper powder along with parsley and salt as per your taste. Toss well all the ingredients.

Step 5

Turn off the burner, shrimp scampi is ready. Transfer the dish to a plate and garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve with toasted bread or pasta as you like. Enjoy!
