In the Women's single event yesterday the Rio-Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu with her performance defeated Dinar Dyah Ayustine of Indonesia by 21-8, 21-18.
She will now take on either Japan's Aya Ohori or Philippines' Sarah Joy Barredo for a place in the quarter-finals.
Saina Nehwal defeated by the Japan's Sayaka Sato in the opening round by the 21-19, 16-21, 18-21. In the men's single India's Ajay Jayaram win as he defeated Tian Houwei of China.
