Dandruff, also called Seborrhoea, targets the scalps of many people, young and old. What’s more, it leads to other skin issues like pimples and acne. The source of dandruff is a fungus that lives on the scalp called Malassezia, which intensifies the overproduction of skin cells. 

Homemade treatments for dandruff:

1.  Lavender Tea Tree Oil & Extra Virgin Olive Oil Treatment 
Tea tree oil is a powerful antifungal, antiseptic, and antibacterial natural oil that has worked wonders for dandruff. Lavender tea tree smells way better and lavender is actually listed as one of the best essential oils to treat flaky, dry scalps.

 

2. Fenugreek Pack as a Dandruff Remedy 
This home remedy for dandruff uses fenugreek seeds. Soak some fenugreek or methi seeds in water overnight. Drain the leftover water and mash the softened seeds into a paste. Drain the leftover water and mash the softened seeds into a paste. Rinse it off with a mild shampoo. 

 

3. Baking soda 
Wet your hair and then rub a handful of baking soda vigorously into your scalp. Skip the shampoo and go right to rinsing. Baking soda reduces overactive fungi that can cause dandruff. 

 

4. Aloe vera 
Stop yourself from scratching by massaging aloe vera into your scalp before shampooing. The cooling effects of aloe vera will soothe the itch.

 

5. Lemon, Yogurt, & Honey Hair Mask 
Honey is pH balancing and healing, plus also has antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties that a dandruff prone scalp will literally drink up. To make your new mask, use three tablespoons of crude honey, one tablespoon of organic yogurt, and two teaspoons of lemon juice.
