Hyderabad: Telangana MLA’s will get a iPods and iPhone as a gift from by the State government on Tuesday.
According to the report, “the gadgets will be given to both members of the Legislative Assembly as well as the Legislative Council” and Rs, 1.5 crore will be spent on the gifts.
An Appropriation Bill is due to be passed in both the Houses on March 29, which will enable the state government to gift the expensive gadgets.
Etela Rajender(Finance Minister) will also hold a grand dinner for the MLAs and MLCs later tonight.
It had been a system in old Andhra Pradesh to shower lavish gifts on legislators.
