Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com today said"It is going to be a choppy day, so, it is better to focus on good quality stocks. I am considering buying Tata Elxsi. That is the F&O segment, has been doing rather well. It is outperforming IT and outperforming the index also. That is one buy."
"The second is my favourite, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), part of the FMCG pack. Actually you could buy any of the bluechips from the FMCG. HUL probably has a better chart for the day, so that comes in my list," he said.
"The third is HDFC Bank. HDFC Bank has done nothing; assuming that the Nifty decides to move up, either today or tomorrow, HDFC Bank should participate. It is in a narrow range and narrow ranges tend to breakout. In this case, I assume it will break on the upside," he said.
He added, "I have also two short selling ideas because today does appear to be uncertain at least as we start. The first is Ajanta Pharma. Pharmaceutical stocks are coming down, they have not stopped their declines, except for one or two. Ajanta Pharma keeps on making lower highs, lower lows. Yesterday was a bad day when the Nifty was going up, that is a short sell."
