Supreme Court to hear plea on judges' appointment cases

The Supreme Court today is all set to hear the plea which is filed for seeking the court's intervention for a direction to appoint judges in various courts. It is being filed by Anil Kabotra.

The petition is concerned over the delay in judicial appointments. The  Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has submitted that 77 files sent to the government, 34 were cleared and remaining have been sent back to the Supreme Court.

The 43 names selected are for elevation in the judicial hierarchy stands the court told Mr Rohatgi.
