According to the TRAI's new rule, there is full hope of decreasing call rates. Let me tell you that the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI) has decided to reduce the Interconnection Usage Charge (IUC) on Tuesday. At present, the ICU rate is 14 paisa per minute, which can be reduced to 6 paise per minute. After this, the call rate will decrease. Together, TRAI has announced the completion of this fee by 2020.

The telecom companies raised the issue of IUC in front of TRAI in the past few days. After this, many companies, including Airtel and Vodafone, were asked to increase the charge. But Reliance Jio had suggested to finish it completely. Airtel was suggesting that IUC would be increased to 30 percent But on Tuesday, TRAI announced the decrease of IUC charge against the earlier.

After the TRAI decision, it is a setback to telecom companies. Association of telecom companies COAI has also made this decision against the company. COAI has been told that the TRAI verdict is going to harm the telecom companies. According to the sources, the COAI is making an appeal to the court against the decision.
