According to a new report from the TRAI, so far, 600 million people have started using the Internet by 2016 in India. Apart from this, 10 million people have taken broadband connection. Talking of total Internet users in India, so far, 39.10 million in total. 

You will also be surprised to know that the number of people who use this internet mobile also is high. Interestingly, according to the TRAI report, the number of Internet users using mobile data and dongle devices is 94.3 percent. This achievement goes directly to the companies having cheap smartphone and data plans.

As per this report, 22.56 lakh subscribers are connected to Indian Airtel in 2016. At the end of this year, 72.16 lakh customers have been connected. The effect of mobile phones will be affected by the fact that there has been an increase of 11.5 percent till date. 

If compared to the Internet user of another country, the number of Internet users in China is 73.1 million. According to NASSCOM's report, by 2020, the number of internet users in India will reach 13 million.
