Tata Motors has given the contract for a supply of 10,000 electric vehicles, the lowest price quoted company in Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL) bidding. Tata Motors will make this supply in two phases. According to the tender, Tata Motor will provide a car for 11.2 lakhs, which includes GST. With this, Tata Motors is giving a five-year warranty in trains. 

Tata Motors has received a contract for the supply of 10,000 vehicles. Under which Tata Motors will supply ESL's electric version of Compact Sedan Tiger. Prior to this, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched Commercial Electric Vehicle, while Tata Motors has announced that it will launch the electric model of Tiago this year. 

Tata Motors will have to deliver 500 trains in the first consignment of electric vehicles, after which it will have to deliver 9500 trains in the second phase. All electronic vehicles sold to EESL will be used in different government departments. Which includes several ministries including the Ministry of Power. 

The main objective of the government's promotion of electric vehicles is to reduce the adverse effects of increasing pollution on the environment.
