Teej festival is of 3 types:
Hariyali Teej- Women worship the moon.
Kajari Teij - Women worship the Neem tree.
Hartalika Teej - In this Teej, the woman fastens her husband's long life. This festival is celebrated on the third day of the full moon in August. In Northern India, women celebrate Teej as a respect for Goddess Parvati and pray for her husband's longevity.
According to ancient legends, it is believed that Goddess Parvati prayed to Lord Shiva and waited for 107 births in the human race, and finally Lord Shiva accepted them in the 108th birth. Therefore, like Karva Chauth, The festival holds for her husband's long life.
