In Lokanpur village in Misrikh area of Sitapur, three minor girls drowned while bathing in a pond, as per stated by police.
The police as per the source news said 'Sajal (9), Sonam and Sati (both 7) were taking a bath in the pond this afternoon when they slipped into deep waters and subsequently drowned'
The bodies were later fished out by the police with the help of locals, police said, adding they have been sent for postmortem.
The police is further investigating the matter.
