Ingredients
For Roasting
- 2 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp Fennel seeds
- 1 tsp Pepper corns
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- Few Cinnamon
- Few Cloves
- 7 to 8 Red Chillies
For Saute
- 1 onion
- Few cloves garlic
- Small piece ginger
- Small piece tamarind
Method
- Roast all the ingredients (coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds. pepper corns, mustard seeds, cinnamon, cloves and red chillies) and keep aside.
- Saute, one onion, cloves, garlic, ginger, tamarind.
- In a blender grind the roasted ingredients and the sauted ingredients
- Put oil in a pan
- few cardamom pods
- 3 chopped onions
- Few curry leaves
- 1 kg chicken pieces
- Add the ground masala
- salt
- Add water till it covers the chicken
- Close and cook for about 30-40 minutes
- Once done, sprinkle grated coconut, and coriander leaves.
