As per the reports, micro-blogging site twitter is down for quite a while. We don't have an actual status of the areas or countries it is being down but India, USA, Russia and Bangladesh have reported seeing glitches or temporary outage issues. The users are not able to access the website.

According to downdetector.com,"Twitter is down from 12:30 EST".

It is so far the biggest downtime of the website. It is already 20 minutes since the issue was first reported.The company has not yet made an official statement on the incident on its status page on Tumblr. In two other big outages this year, the website also went down for 24 minutes and one hour on July 19 and October 25 respectively. Twitter also went down on October 21 for almost 3 hours during the massive online attack that blocked access to several popular websites in the US. These included Amazon, Spotify, Tumblr, Reddit, PayPal among others.

Definitely, the engineers at the backend will be looking into the matter and surely we will get to know what has caused the issue.
