In Lucknow during a checking drive, two persons have arrested with Rs 30 lakh in demonetized currency notes and a licenced revolver from the vehicle of a former Samajwadi Party MLA, as per stated by police.

The SO of the Gomti Nagar police station, Anand Shukla as per the sources news said "Mobin Haider and Deepak Kumar were arrested from Gomti Nagar area during a routine checking drive and Rs 30 lakh in demonetised currency notes and a revolver were recovered from them"

He also said that the vehicle, a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), was registered in the name of former SP MLA from Lucknow (Central) constituency Ravidas Mehrotra.
