Uber Technologies Inc [UBER.UL] asked Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen to give the island's kin a chance to choose whether they need Uber benefits in Taiwan, the most recent salvo in the wrangle between Taiwanese powers and the ride-hailing administration organization. Uber's remarks were made in an open letter to the island's leader posted on its site on Thursday. It came after transport powers said for the current week they would ask Apple Inc and Alphabet Inc's Google to draw Uber's applications accessible in Taiwan on their app stores.

"These developments straightforwardly undermine the interests of over a million Taiwanese nationals, particularly the moms, fathers, retirees, experts, and the generally unemployed who have come to depend on the monetary open doors Uber has made," Uber said in the letter marked by Mike Brown, local general manager of Uber Asia Pacific.
