The team of researchers at the University of Michigan has been studying the effects of setting up this device that locks the ignition of the car by detecting alcohol addiction in the newly purchased cars for the last 15 years. 

Researchers have received significant results in preventing injury and reducing costs. According to them, 85% of the deaths due to accident through this device can be avoided. 

According to a research paper published in the latest issue of an American research journal, only 59,000 deaths due to car accidents can be avoided in 15 years in the United States.
