Woman footballer 'Poonam Chauhan' passed away

Varanasi: National level woman footballer Poonam Chauhan 29 years old, passed away due to dengue during a treatment at private hospital on Tuesday.

The footballer represented Indian team in 2010, who was taken to the hospital about a week ago. Poonam won a gold medal at the South Asian games.

The body of an athlete was cremated at Manikarnika ghat today.
