Users are complaining against the excess billing,  the reports were revealed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), these reports were from October to December 2016. In Airtel, most of the complaints were from 2G users.

Reports alleged that, most of the violations were recorded from the telecom giant Vodafone, where 0.15% of the bill are from Andhra Pradesh and 0.13% of the bills were from Karnataka, which filed the complaints.

The main states, wich complaint about the excess billing were- Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Kolkata, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.
